12/10/08
Weather: Cold and cloudy. Highs in the high 30s.
J.R. with Bailey Electric has been here all day setting boxes on the first floor.
Southland Framers have been framing on the second floor
We unloaded a truck of 16 bundles of 2x6x104 5/8 and loaded 9 bundles of 2x6x92 5/8 and 2 bundles of 2x6x116 5/8. We unloaded the 3rd floor floor trusses.
NES brought a compressor and concrete saw for us to take out the oncrete out around the whirlpool.
Frank Torrez came by to see Joey and Alex. He took us to lunch.
12/11/08
Southland framers are setting the 3rd floor, floor trusses and beginning to punch out on the first floor.
J.R. with Bailey Electric is setting wall boxes and running conduit. He strung some lights in the lobby and corridor.
Mike with Moses Plumbing came out to field check on the second floor. He said it’s going to be more difficult now because we have 12” open web trusses instead of 16” like what was stated earlier, or “I” beam trusses like the planes called for.
Todd with Advanced Sprinkler has a couple of guys here working on chipping out the concrete where we’re enlarging the whirlpool. Todd moved some spoils off site and knocked some dirt piles down to make it easier to get around the site.
I took pictures of the repaired trusses, labeled them and emailed them to John.

Weather: Very cold and cloudy. Rain and sleet over night and into the morning. More freezing rain this afternoon and tomorrow. Highs in the high 20s.
No framing on the 3rd floor today. It’s a sheet of ice up there. Oswaldo and his crew are working on the first floor and second floor.

Joey was here this morning to meet with John and Alex.
We shut the job down early because of the weather.

Weather: Very cold and icy. An inch and a half to two inches of ice and sleet fell over night.
The job site is shut down today. Conditions did not allow anyone to be out and working.
12/17/08
Weather: Still very cold and icy.
Got to the site later in the morning. The framers worked on scraping ice off of the floor most of the day. They started popping lines for the 3rd floor this afternoon.
Bailey Elec. Is here putting in boxes for the 2nd floor and running MC cable in the first and second floor.

Weather: Cool and warming through out the day. Foggy in the evening.
The framers started standing walls on the 3rd floor. They got about half of it done.
Bailey Elec is on site running wire and setting boxes.
12/19/08
Weather: Mostly clear and cool.
I cleared a spot for Freedom Fire to stage their materials on out lot. Gary Simms had called and requested it so that his guy could deliver their stuff on Saturday.
The framers are making good time on standing the 3rd floor walls. They should finish with them today.
Bailey Elec is on site running wire and setting boxes on the first two floors.
Mic and Jay with Magnum materials came bt to talk to John and do some take offs for pre-rock dry wall. They brought John a vest, a Christmas card and some cookies.
Alex and I went over some dimensions. Some of the closet walls and bathroom walls will need to be moved.

Weather; Clear and cold. Highs in the low 30s.
Southland framers finished standing the last of the 3rd floor walls. The 4th floor, floor trusses and components were delivered on Saturday. They started rolling trusses today and had about half of them finished. Over the weekend they had moved all of the closet and bathroom walls that needed to be moved.
Bailey Elec is here on site running wire and setting boxes and drilling through studs for MC cable.
Ron Shumate with Seaside Pools came by to show us where the new skimmer will be placed. We had two guys picking and digging the dirt out of the whirl pool area.
John and Alex discussed the lay out of the extended stay suite on the 3rd floor with Chase until 6pm.
12/23/08
Weather: Cold and cloudy. 70% chance of rain. Highs in the 30s
Canant Concrete, who is replacing Turner Construction, came to saw out the concrete around the whirl pool and to grout around the anchor bolts that are exposed and to finish grouting in the elevator pit.
Southland framers started setting trusses but had to pull off because of sleet and freezing rain. They’ve been working on punch out items on the 2nd and 1st floors.
Gary noticed that the stair well landing on the north side of the building going up to the 3rd floor is 3/4 of an inch too high. They didn’t allow for the doubled decking.
Bailey Elec has finished what they can on the first and second floors. They’re waiting on the decking for the fourth floor so they can move up to the 3rd floor.
We’ve got a couple of guys busting out the concrete that was cut out around the whirlpool.

Turner Construction is here setting some forms in the northg parking lot and doing some misc. clean up.
Todd with Advanced Sprinkler is moving some of the dirt spoils off of the site.

Joey and Alan were in town today to meet with the Patels. They made the decision to enlarfe the whirlpool.
Southland is framing the second floor. One of the lift operators drove the sky track around the back of the building and blew part of the dry block wall out. They stood most of the exterior walls up and put down extra OSB in the corridor.

United Rentals came by and picked up the whacker packer from Kerry.
Two framers showed up on site around 8:45. They were waiting on Oswaldo.
Todd's crew is here working on the wall in the back.
Oswaldo showed up around 9:30. They framed some of the south end of the building.
11/26/08
Moix finished the steel on the slab. They had to cut and weld a few pieces.
Southland has been framing all day. They have framed up to the pool and elevator area.
Turner Construction poured the footings and set the anchor bolts for the porte corche
Joey was here supervising the framing from 8am to 3pm.
The Patels came be to look around the site.
Todd's crew had been working on the dry block wall in the back of the building.
12/1/08
Moix set the small steel columns for the porch at the front of the building. They had to move two columns and a beam that was inside the slab, four feet to the east.
Turner Construction cut holes in the concrete for the steel that had to be moved. They poured the washing machine pad in the laundry room. They poured around the steel columns that Moix set today and filled in the rest of the columns on the slab.
Southland has all the 2x6 walls framed on the first floor. They are rolling the trusses and placing the glue-lam beams. They finished almost half the trusses for the first floor.
We went and got another skytrack from Hugg and Hall for Moix to use while the framers were using the other lift to set trusses.
Advanced Sprinkler is working on the dry block wall on the east side of the building. Brad is bringing us a fuel tank to use on site.
12/2/08
Moix is on site setting the steel for porte corche. This is the last of the steel.
Turner Construction is on site to wreck forms and pour around the last of the steel columns.
Southland is setting trusses and decking. We had to order 30 treated 2x6s, 30 1x4s, 2 boxes of steel anchor drive heads and 2 boxes of charges.
Moses Plumbing came on site around 9am to see how the trusses were working with the plumbing. Mike said, so far so good.
Alex w/Southland came on site around 11.
Moix discovered a steel beam missing that goes to the porte corche. It wasn't shipped from the fabricator because it was on backorder. It will be here in the morning.
Porter Brownlee came by the site today to look around and take pictures.
Some of the trusses are having to be engineer fixed in the field. NT Truss is supposed to fax it to us this evening or in the morning.
Brad with Advanced Sprinkler cut the line for the temporary power that runs to the building. Bailey will be here in the morning to fix it.

Turner Construction is on site cleaning up their trade. The three pier points on the meeting room area on the east wall are off. They are about two feet too far to the east. Jared is supposed to be coming out to see who set the points. Kerry will have to cut and hammer the needed area.
Moixx Construction is on site laying out their plan and measuring and popping lines on the slab.
Ed Wiley with Wilson Bros. came by to see when they would need to come back out and backfill behind the curbs. John said he couldn't give an answer rightn now.
Moixx found some anchor bolt points that where out of place. Jared Pavett came out to verify the problem.
Kerry rented a jack hammer to cut out some concrete in a couple of spots.
Moixx layed out their stuff and should be ready to hang steel tomorrow.
Seaside Pools is setting the coping around the whirl pool and swimming pool.

Seaside Pools is setting the coping around the swimming and whirl pools. they had to wait until later in the morning because of the tempature.
Moixx hung iron columns on the south end of the building and finished laying out their lines.
Turner Construction was chipping some concrete and drilling the correct spot for the anchor bolt points.
I left around 11:30 for a meeting in Ft. Smith with Joey and Alan.
John left around 2:00 to go home for a funeral. Gary Farris is on site to supervise.

John is in Bentonville for a funeral. He'll be back in town this evening.
Moixx is on site setting columns. Mike Andrews had to go to Fastenal to get something to sue for shims.
Seaside Pools is grouting the coping around the pool.
Moses Plumbing is here installing the floor drain around the pool and connecting the fill and drain lines to and from the pool.
Turner Construction is chipping and cutting concrete in the elevator pit. They are getting ready to pour concrete around the pools and mechanical room tomorrow.
Jerime with Bailey came out to put a hard nipple on the stub out for the temporary power. Seasid pools wanted to run conduit for their lights later. Jerime layed the spot out for them.
Conway corp. came out and made our 6" tap into the man hole.
Kevin with Moses gave me a copy of the CAD file lay out sheet that they layed everything off of. The framers can use it measure off of. It is not to scale.

Turner Construction poured the remainder of the slab around the pool area. It took 70 yds. They put 2% calcium in the mix. They worked the slab until around 8 in the morning.
Moixx Construction brought in a few more guys to help hang steel.
Kevin with Moses connected the building sewer to the tap that Conway Corp. made on Thursday.
Southland's framing crew was here snapping lines and laying things out this afternoon.

It rained a little over an inch last night and today. The site was really muddy and wet this morning. Kerry Turner and come of the guys came out and set knock outs around the anchor bolt points.
I called Bobby Deavers about getting someone out here tomorrow to double check their conduit and placements of floor plugs.
Five Star pest control came out around 10 to spray the remainder of the foundation.

Turner Construction is on sire spreading gravel and g etting ready to pour concrete in the floor of the elevator pit today.
Bailey Electric is on site finishing their conduit and putting in floor boxes.
Mic from Magnum Materials came by and took John, Gary and myself out for lunch.
James with United Rentals came by and talked to John about why Joey hasn't been communicating with him.
Jarred Pavett is on site checking a few points and setting the corners of the elevator pit. He'll double check the finished floor elevation and the elevator shaft.
Kerry has got a transit and tripod on our account at Ridout. He brought me the reciept. Kerry brought me the rest of the tickets from the concrete pours around 5:30

Weather: Mostly cloudy. Highs in the 60s. Very foggy with a chance of rain in the afternoon.
Kerry and his guys are setting the last forms and setting the final finished floor elevation on the form boards.
Brad with Southern Star got us a pump truck from Harris and Harris out here around 8:30
Jerime with Bailey was here this morning double checking and finalizing everything that he had set.
I placed the PVC elbow that Mike Cordiss with Moses Plumbing left for us.
We cut down the washing machine trough down to 6'3" instead of 8'. An 8' trough cannot fit into a 7'6" pad.
John ordered concrete at 3500 PSI so that it will be stronger and we will be able to drive equipment on it Monday when the steel erectors arrive.
Kerry poured 268 yds of concrete on the slab. We rented two light towers on out account with NES and Kerry will pay back the ammount.
NES Rentals exchanged sky tracks with us and delivered the light towers aout 3 this afternoon.
A very hard, windy cold rain came in about 4 pm. It rained for about 3 hours. Kerry and his crew finished the slab around 2:15am.

Moixx Construction is sorting the steel and sending the columns that need to be cut to Conway steel to be retrofitted.

Turner construction worked the weekend and dug the remainder of the interior footers and pads for the steel columns.
Today they brought in a pump truck to pour all the rest of the concrete on the inside of the building. They set the anchor bolts in the building
It rained the rest of the day and night.

Kerry and his guys ran a sting in the wrong spot. They're digging to correct that.
Todd came out to check on the site and gave us jackets from Advanced Sprinkler.
Joey, Alan, John and the Patels had their bi-weekly meeting in the office on site.
Jarred Pavett came out to double check anchor bolt spots and remark the ones that are incorrect.

It rained half of the day yesterday. The sight was muddy. Office work was accomplished.
Seaside Pools is on site this morning setting up to spray the Gunnite on the whirl pool and swimming pool.
Turner Constuction is on sight to finish digging the interior footers and peirs.

Turner Construction is on site building knock outs and templates for the anchor bolts.
Seaside pools is going to pour the floors of the whirl pool and swimming pool this morning. They're waiting on an inspection of the ground wires before they cam spray gunnite on the walls.
Advanced Sprinkler is working on the dry block wall going in on the south and east sides of the building. An engineer from the city is supposed to come and look at the part of the storm drain wall that is falling in on the east side.
John, Alan, Alex and Joey had a meeting over lunch.

Turner Constuction is spreading gravel and getting everything ready to pour concrete. Jerime with Bailey, John and I noticed that the Finished floor line that was popped on the form boards, was going downhill. They checked it out with a transit and their transit had been off when they set the line. They corrected it. No damage was done.
Moses Plumbing was out here Sunday to measure and finalize their stubouts to make sure they're correct.
Jerime and Brad from Bailey were here laying conduit and double checking their conduit and making sure everything is ok for the concrete.
Seaside pool guys are out here running PVC for the pool and whirl pool and setting rebar in the whirl pool.
We heard from Brett McDaniels from Conway corp and found out they needed a diagram on how we were going to build the dry block wall and permission from the owners that they have right to remove what's in their way to repair the sewer line. John drew up a diagram and signed permission from Andy Patel and we got it down to to Conway corp for approval.

Turner Construciton is laying out vaper barrier and wire getting ready to pour concrete. They had to dig the elevator pit out a little bit to make room for the form boards that they had built.
Todd McWilliams and his crew have been here day digging the footer for the dry block wall going up on the south and east sides of the building. The fallen in strorm drain in the back of the building on the east side is becoming an issue. Gary Fayson will come by tomorrow to have a look at it and decide what we need to do.
Conway Corp is supposed to be here in the next few days to make the 6 inch tap into the sewer line.

Richard Carlton with Otis Elevator came on site today to look at the elevator pit and doubel check the form boards for the pit walls and sump pit.

10-27-08 thru 10-31-08
Wednesday, the pool company showed up. They were supposed to come in on Monday, then Tuesday. Their truck broke down on Wednesday and they didn't arrive until the afternoon. They layed the pool out on Wednesday and started digging Thursday morning. Their backhoe broke down Thursday morning and they are waiting on a part to come in.
Kerry Turner has most of the interior piers layed out and most of the form boards set for the building slab.
Jerime with Bailey installed out night watchman outside the office trailer, layed some conduit to the north end of the property and adjusted the conduit that he had running up into room #127.
Cleaned up the site and thew away all of the trash that was in the connex.
Built the frame and construction sign and dug the holes for it. Built a box around our R.P.Z. and stuffed it full of insulation.

John is in a meeting with the MEP guys and the framing and sheetrock at the Microtel.
Shawn Stone with Newstone Door and specialty installations came by the office to look at prints for the Country Inn and Suites, La Quinta and Microtel Searcy.
Supposed to meet with Brett Acres around 11:20 to give him his check and have him sign and notarize a lien waiver.
Checked on John's computer at Best Buy. They said the hardware tests were going well. They may need to run some software test as well. They will call John this evening to give him a status report.
Joey, Alan, Chase John and the Patels had a meeting at our office on site.
Two fellows from a granite installation company came by around 1:00 to meet with Alan and Joey and John.

Kerry Turner had about 10 guys on site to form and pour part of the north parking lot and dig pads for the piers and footers.

Jerime and Brad with Bailey are trenching for the new telephone conduit that is running to the north east corner pedestal per ATT.
Seaside Poos showed up on site around 10:00. Edwardo took down our construction fencing and drove the dump truck on the Amity Rd. approach.

Todd McWilliams came by the site around 10:00 to look over the placement of the dry block wall along the south and east sides of the building.
The hard drive on John's computer is failing. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with customer service ordering recovery discs for the operating system. They should be shipped to Best Buy on the 31st. We purchased a 250g external HD to back up all out data.
Seaside pools dug the entire swimming pool.
Todd McWilliams and Brad with Advanced Sprinkler came out and met with Conway Block to discuss the dry block wall on the south and east sides of the building.

Kerry Turner is cutting control points in the concrete that he poured yesterday. They are still digging footers and piers in the building pad. Mic is having to be very careful because of all of the underground plumbing and conduit that is stubbed up out of the ground.
Phillip from a water proofing and caulking company came by to look at the cracks in the parking lot. they will come out after we are finished with everything and caulk all the cracks at once.
Seaside pools finished digging the whirl pool and swimming pool yesterday. They are laying gravel down inside the pool and will be running the pipes that they need to run into the pool mechanical room. John and I layed out the two back corners of the mechanical room.
Brett Acre is bringing out 2 loads of SB2 for Kerry to start spreading on the building pad.
Moses Plumbing is on site to move and fix a couple of pipes. They'll be getting ready to set floor drains, the elevator pit pump, and finish everything that goes under the slab. This also includes pipes running to the pool for water and drains.

Jerime and Brad with Bailey is on site putting in Conduit for under slab and floor plugs.
Todd and Brad with Advanced Sprinkler have started digging their footer for the retaining wall.
Alex came by the office and had a long meeting with John.
Conway Corp. came out to meet with Todd and Brad and me about their easment on the sewer line. There may be an issue with building a perminant structure on top of the sewer line such as the sundeck and the retaining wall. We met with Brett McDaniel who is the water system engineer and Leslie Guffey. They will try to have a resolution by Monday.
I picked up John's computer from Best Buy.
I moved John's furniture into his apartment and put his bed together and let his computer there for him.

Turner Construction is building and setting their box forms on the peremiter. They will pop a line on the inside of the form for the slab height. We have to make sure that that everyone knows not to pull measurements form the top of the form. They have to pull off of the line that Kerry pops.
Wilson Bros. is spreading gravel on the north end of the parking lot. They're hoping to get it al covered before it rains tonight.

Bobby Deavers came by the site to drop of submitals and discuss the "K" lighting issue with John.
Ron and his crew from Sea Side Pools is on site laying out and marking for their pool and whirl pool.
We're waiting on the engineer to come out and set points for the building corners, swimming and whirl pools and pool mechanical room. He'll be here this evening to plot and said he'll be here at 7am to stake everything.

Wilson Bros. is setting the grade in the north parking lot.
Ronnie White (conway building inspector) came out to inspect the perimeter footers. He requested the results of the of the compaction test before we poured concrete. Carl Garner's office faxed over the results and I ran them down to Ronnie's office.
Turner Construction is getting ready to pour concrete in the footers this afternoon.
Garrison is here cleaning out and organizing the connex.
Carl Garner was out on site this morning to look at the issues concerning dry block walls and places where the sub grade is going to be spilling into the drainage ditch. He also looked at the swell that Wilson Bros is putting in the parking lot.
Todd McWilliams came by to pick up his contract.
Brett, Kerry's digger, is on site to redig the footers that have been reengineered to accommodate the pool a whirl pool.
David Wingfield came the site to look at the plans and put together a bid proposal for this job.

Wilson Bros. arrived on site around 7 am and started working on the grade at the north end of the parking lot.
Turner construction arrived on site about 7 am and started cleaning out the rooters and setting in the steel.
Moses Plumbing came by to hook up the water to the office and connect the bladder.
We went to Home Depot to get a pump, but we had to put it back because the card number we had wasn't valid unless swiped.
Freedom Fire came out to pressurize the supply line.
Julie with the pump truck company came out to discuss where to stage the pumper.
We got some supplies to organize the office and worked on that some of the afternoon.
Conway corp. came and approved out water RPZ for the office and our temporary bladder/tank. We now have water in the office trailer.
United Rental brought a Whacker Packer out for Kerry to clean up the footers.
Kerry called in for a footer inspection for the morning.

Engineer ( Jared Pavet ) was late this morning. Kerry Turner and Moses were waiting for him to set building points.
Wilson Bros. under cut and back filled spot on the west side of the parking lot. They encountered a lot of water coming from pressure under the street.
Bailey dug for conduit from Amity Rd. to the building.
Moses dug their trench for the gas company. Center Point placed gas line.
Freedom Fire dug for their supply line into the building and discovered that the FDC was not within 100’ from a hydrant. The FDC will now be in the north east corner of or the property out by Halter Rd.
John was off site from about 10:00 am. – 2:00 pm per Joey.
Jared Pavet arrived around 10:00 am
Kerry Turner set baffle boards on three corners of the building.
ATT came and connected the phone for the office.
John met with Carl Garner from 7:00pm – 8:30 pm

Arrived on site at 7am and met with Wilson Bros., Moses, Bailey and Turner Construction.
Kerry set final baffle board on north east corner of the building. They set it on the fist bump in wall from the outside of the building to be out of the way of Baileys transformer pad. Kerry started digging footers and tying steel.
Wilson Bros. hauled in SB2 for the south west end of the parking lot and set the grade.
Bailey started digging for conduit on the east side of the building. He passed inspection with Conway Corp. and started back filling the trenches.
Freedom Fire arrived around 8:30 am and started putting a 6” lift on top of their supply line and placed the FDC in new location. Fire Marshal Randy Freeman came by and approved new location.
Conway Corp. arrived around 9:00 am to put in the 1” tap by the office trailer.
Moses Plumbing dug their main trunk and packed the crumbs in the trench.
Chase Garret came by the site around 4:00 pm and answered question from John and Kevin w/Moses.
10-3-08
Arrived on site at 7am. Met with Mike from Moses Plumbing about where their conex would be placed. Then moved some of Kerry’s steel out of the way.
Met with Robert with Wilson bros. They should be finished by noon. He said that it would be best to keep heavy trucks off of the north east end of the parking lot. There isn’t as much shale in that area.
John isn’t feeling well and will on the site late. He arrived around 8 am.
Todd w/ Advanced Sprinkler came on site around 9 am to mark and dig for the irrigation on the south east end of the parking lot and porte-cochere.
Conway Corp. showed up around 9:30 am to set up the internet to the office trailer.
Sammy Patel and a friend came by the site around 10:30 am
John left the site about 11:30 am
Kerry Turner is waiting to finish the footer work due to delays with the anchor bolts, base plates, plumbing and electric to stub under footing.
Moses left the site around 3 pm. Mobile mini arrived around 2 pm to move their conex.

Arrived on site at 7am and realized I forgot my keys to the office and conex.
Met with Kerry turner and his digger. They are digging footers n the east side of the pad and laying steel.

I logged inside the router with my iPod and enabled our internet router and set up the security on it.
Met with Jared Pavet. He will set the points for the elevator shaft and stake for the curbs on the south west parking lot. He left to look at prints at A & B and came back about 11:15.
Found a way into the office. There was a window unlatched by the door.
Royce Kirby with Webco Mining came by the site to see if we needed anything.
Moses arrived on site around 8 am.
Patel’s and Alan and John arrived on site around 11:30. Alan met with the Patel’s while I caught John up to speed with the site. Alan, John and I went to lunch about 1:30 and then John took Alan to Jacksonville since Alan didn’t bring a car.
Kerry started setting form boards for the curbs on the south west parking lot.
Moses put in their trunk line and branch offs but had to stop short because they were waiting on Otis elevator to come and drill for their shaft. Otis never arrived. Richard with Otis called me back around 4:30 to tell me that they had re routed them to OK. He said he would call John to reschedule.
Bailey passed the inspection on the ringer around the transformer pad. They’re running conduit on the south end of the property line for the temporary power supply to the building area.

Arrived on site at 8:30. It had rained all night and the ground is saturated. The open footers and plumbing ditches are full of water. The part of the parking lot that is graveled drained well. The rest of the site is all mud.
John is in a meeting off site with Alan.
Moses plumbing came by and placed a pump in their ditch.
Kerry Turner came by to check the site conditions.
It rained most of the day. I worked on resizing and importing prints.

Arrived on site at 8am. Moses Plumbing is digging trenches and stubbing up.
I spent most of the day reformatting and saving prints to John’s computer.
Terry with Ridout came by with a lumber package quote.
Steve Stark with Lumber 1 came by with a window quote. He said Joey already “pulled the trigger” on the lumber package.
Talked with Richard Carlton with Otis Elevator. He said they would be out to bore their shaft tomorrow morning instead of today.
Moses called in for a rough in inspection for the morning.
Chase sent an email referencing that the notes from the franchise did not get transferred to the new E 1 and E 2 pages.
Called Bobby with Bailey to make sure he understands to transfer notes to their new pages.
Phyllis ChevReaux, former AGM from the Microtel came by to say Hi. The management Company she’s with now will be running this hotel she says.

Bobby with Bailey came by and talked with John and the engineer about the incongruence in the lighting plans and schedule.
Larry with Wilson Bros. came by to cut out the curbs.
Ronnie, Conway Building Inspector, came by to inspect Moses’ rough in. He threatened John with a ticked if we didn’t spread B stone at the Halter rd. entrance. Joyce Birchfield brought 3 loads of B stone and Larry spread it with a backhoe. Kevin with Moses scraped the street clean from mud and offered to spread gravel with his bobcat.
Moses passed their inspection and they are back filling their trenches.
10-10-08

Otis’ drilling crew arrived on site around 7am. They drilled 44’ to the top of the casement. They hit water at about 22’. Roughly 400 gallons of water was pushed up out of the casement.
Moses Plumbing is backfilling trenches with sand and gravel.
There’s some confusion about the curb grade. Someone seems to be off 2” somewhere. Jarrod will be meeting with Kerry this evening to discuss it.
Todd McWilliams came by to trench and lay conduit in the north parking lot. He’ll wait to put the piece between the islands because he doesn’t want it to get crushed.
Called Bobby Deavers or the them to get conduit in Todd’s trenches before they back fill it around 1pm.
Todd, John and I discussed a retaining wall at the future drive inlet at the south end at the south end of the parking lot.
Ron with Sea Side Pools came by to view the site. He will meet with John again on Monday or Tuesday.
Doug Smith came by to talk about supplying nails and fasteners for the job. I gave him Joey’s information.
Tom with Pyramid suppliers came by to look at the prints.
Made copies of the anchor bolt shop drawings and had them inserted into the office copy of the plans.

Bailey Electric arrived on site around 7 am. To trench for cable and telephone conduit.
Kerry Turner and his digger and crew arrived on site around 7 am.
It started sprinkling about 9am but then got heavier. It precipitated for about an hour and a half.
United Rentals picked up the bobcat that Moses Plumbing had rented.
Kerry started pouring concrete in the south west parking lot. Geometric testing came by and took four samples for testing.
Joey informed John that in going with open web joists instead of “I” beams, we’re going to add 4” of rise to the building effecting the elevator quite a bit.
Mark from community Bank in Jacksonville came by to tour the site and take pictures.
The Patel’s came by the site around 4:45pm.

Turner Construction arrived on site around 7 am and pours more of the south west parking lot. It is about 80 % done.
It rained off and on for a quite a while early this morning.
Brad from Southern Star Concrete came by to talk to Kerry, John and me. He made sure Kerry had the wire delivered out here when he needed it. We talked to him for about 45 minutes and worked out some delivery issues.
John met with Richard Carlton for an hour and fifteen minutes discussing the elevator/floor joist issue.
John Newland came by around 4 to discuss windows and doors and door hardware.

Noticed a crack in the parking lot. John talked to Kerry about cutting the control joints 24 hours after every pour. Kerry rented a walk behind concrete saw to cut control joints that day.

John with GS insulation came in to talk and look at prints. They discussed insulating in between joists.
Al Miller with NES Rentals came by to check and see if we needed anything. He gave us some calendars.

Bailey Electric arrived on site around 7 am working on the under slab rough ins.
Turner Construction is on site cleaning out footers.
A truck with the elevator piston arrived on site about 7:45. We had no way of unloading the truck. James from United Rentals made some calls and got us a little lift out here in about an hour. We unloaded the piston that may or may not be used on this job and set it by the conex. United Rentals took the lift back.
John and I worked on a rough Critical Path for the La Quinta in Bryant. Alan had called last night wanting one over night to be able to show to the Pastels in the meeting.
Alan took John with him to Jacksonville to meet with the Patels. I had to run Joey over to the Fairfield because he didn’t have a vehicle.
